Storage Suggestion

The packaging bags we use are environmentally friendly, compostable materials: kraft paper + PLA (Corn starch derivates). Please store the tea in a dry and cool place or in a well-sealed tea can.

Do not put this product directly into the refrigerator, as the refrigerator is humid and prone to the smell of other foods, which will affect the taste of your tea.

Description

Our green tea Maofeng originates from Huangshan area (Also called as Yellow Mountain Maofeng), one of the top green tea sites in China. The tea farms are Rainforest Alliance Certified. The dense forests, mild climate, abundant rainfall, and fertile soil here have created the ideal conditions for the growth of Huangshan Maofeng green tea.

This green tea specifically is made specially using a rolling/forming-squeezing process. The first step is rolling and forming to shape the tea leaves, resulting in the shape of the produced dry tea being tightly knotted. The second step is squeezing to break the tea leaf cells and squeeze out the tea juice. This makes the flavor stick closer to the surface of the tea leaves and increase the concentration in the later tea brewing. In this way, the dried tea leaves are more suitable for brewing and give a more mellow taste to the tea.
